About The Event

What & When

After a highly successful inaugural ARCHER-American Romanian Coalition for Human and Equal Rights event “On Race and Anti-Racism,” we are delighted to announce our next virtual educational experience to take place on August 14, 2020, “Western Colonialism Examined”.
Guest Speakers

Who

We welcome our speakers, who are both faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver: Professor Douglas Mpondi (Chair of the Africana Studies Department) and Professor Cristina A. Bejan (History). The conversation is moderated by Mihaela Campion, clinical psychotherapist, and Creative visionary of ARCHER- a group of enthusiastic professionals and grassroots anti-discrimination activists.

Professor Mpondi is a world expert on the history of colonialism in Africa and decolonization.

Goals

Why

The ARCHER conversation will address Mpondi’s area of expertise and will put it in the context of the recent events in the USA.
